If you are searching for some casual gameplay and lighthearted fun, look no farther than Big Farm Story. BFS released this month for PC on Steam and has been a great addition to my game library.

When starting the game, you find that your grandpa has given you his rundown farm in hopes that you may rebuild it to its former glory. Get ready to get to work because grandpa has left things in a mess for you to clean up. Don’t worry though, your neighbors and new friends will help you along the way. As you explore further from your town, you will discover that the community needs your help too.

On the farm you are able to till, water, and grow different crops to sell or use in various ways. While waiting for your seeds to grow, there are plenty of other things to do. Breed and take care of chickens, alpacas, and cows and pet some pretty adorable baby animals.

Much like other farming titles, your character explores the wooded area and various parts of the map to forage for items that can be sold, used for quests, or combined with other items for crafting. BFS has a housing gameplay where you can design your home to be whatever you want. Collect different furniture pieces to make it your own and even cook in your kitchen! Personally, I really enjoyed leveling up and having the freedom to choose what skills I wanted to work on.

Big Farm Story even has a multiplayer option so your friends can get in on the fun. Although shared/split screen is not supported, online mode is. Friends on Steam can visit your farm and play along side you as you quest and explore.
